My name is Helena Grigorian, and I am the founder and principal designer for Art of Wrap™. I am a print and web designer by trade as well as a commercially published and exhibiting photographer in the Los Angeles area. A seemingly endless schedule of birthdays, weddings, and showers coupled with a limited selection of unique and eclectic gift wrap compelled me to design and print my own wrapping paper. My friends, family, and coworkers soon began to take notice of my designs, and requests for me to update and print them for their wrapping projects began to grow. With a steadily growing customer base, I created what is now my company named Art of Wrap.
The design process has always started as one of momentary spontaneity and whimsical inspiration. A song, scent, memory, or scene has been at the root of all of my designs. For example, a starlit outdoor cocktail party was the inspiration for the design, Star of Martini. Fishing With Shant had its roots in a lakeside conversation with a close friend about relationships. One Day I Went To The Museum was inspired by one of many Sunday afternoons spent lost in the calming galleries of a museum.
Currently, I am presenting 12 designs for sale to retailers with plans to incorporate an increasing collection of designs. I hope to grow my business into a specialty market that appreciates and incorporates the Art of Wrap™ in the effort to Gift Creatively™.
